Falcon Concentrators purchases Sepro Mineral Processing International!

 

Falcon Concentrators is pleased to announce the purchase of Sepro Mineral Processing International (SMPI).  SMPI is a UK based company, in operation for over 20 years, providing pneumatic tyre driven mills and scrubbers into the mining industry.  These well proven high quality mills and scrubbers enjoy lower capital costs and shorter delivery lead times than others currently available on the market. In addition, SMPI provides complete equipment packages including screening, classification and materials handling. The combined company will now offer a host of products and services from individual pieces of equipment, through to milling and classification modules, and finally complete gravity only plants.

 

The newly formed entity will operate under the name “Sepro Systems” and will encompass all of the equipment and services that the two previous companies provided.

Metal Recovery from Slag Print E-mail

MARSA 1st - GOLD RECOVERY FROM FURNACE SLAG
MARSA - Lima, Peru.

Falcon recently shipped a second SB machine to Peru for the recovery offine gold from furnace slag.

The first company to do this in Peru was Minera Aurifera Retamas S.A. Consulting metallurgist for MARSA, Mr. Leandro Perez (a well respected and highly recognized consultant in the mining industry), installed the Falcon SB250 in Lima at their slag processing facilities. This unit is installed in-line with a small ball mill, used to grind the gold rich slag.

Leandro and his team have been able to get recoveries in the mid to high nineties and produce a smeltable grade from the falcon concentrator. The remaining low-grade slag is discarded.

This is where Falcon's SB technology comes into its own. The slag is finely ground liberating the entrained fine gold particles. Being able to operate at high G-forces and enhancing the recovery of FINE gold makes Falcon's SB technology a perfect match for this application. Recoveries to date have been as high as 98%.
