FALCON CONCENTRATORS is a world-renowned specialist in enhanced gravity concentration. Our team of metallurgists and engineers is dedicated to assisting the mineral processing industry to achieve gravity separation results unachievable in the past. Falcon recognizes that each gravity concentration circuit is unique and thus offers a line of products that are unequalled in parametric flexibility. IRON FLOTATION TAILINGS SCAVENGINGGravity Separators and Mineral Tailings graphicInstalling a continuous Falcon C concentrator onto the tailings line from a flotation circuit, as a scavenger, will definitely improve recovery from the float circuit. The ability of the Falcon C to treat the entire tailings stream and produce a valuable concentrate into a fraction of the feed mass (1-40%) allows a lower value tailing to be produced from the Falcon C (Flotation Circuit) with an increase in recovery. FINE COAL CLEANINGGravity Separators and Mineral Tailings graphicThe ability of the Falcon C continuous concentrator to clean coal between -1.0mm and 45 microns makes it an attractive alternative to a spiral and flotation circuit. The Falcon C continuous concentrator can treat the -1.0mm material at a rate of up to 100t/h, utilizing a footprint of only 6m² . For large tonnage coal washing plants a number of Falcon C units would be required. With the addition of magnetite to the circuit, Ep's of 0.04 have been achieved through the Falcon model C concentrator. TAILINGS SCAVENGING INSTALLATIONGravity Separators and Mineral Tailings graphicShown here are two Falcon C4000, 100 t/h units, treating a combined tonnage of 200 t/h of -1.0mm material. The final tailings have a P80 of approximately 50 micron (325mesh) which is fed to the 300G Falcon C4000 enhanced gravity concentrators. The high G-force allows the recovery of the very fine (below 5 micron) valuable material continuously into 5-40% of the feed mass. Depending on the nature of the material it could either be put through an intensive cyanide leach or regrind to improve the liberation. TIN AND TANTALUM INSTALLATIONImageA typical installation of two Falcon C continuous concentrators in series treating up to 100 t/hr of -1.0mm material through the primary machine and a second unit as the primary concentrate cleaner. The effective use of this circuit yields high recoveries of the target mineral/metal in a fraction of the feed mass, producing a low tonnage stream for the final table cleaning unit.
